Summit Shasta Black Bears (Daly City, CA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mills Vikings (Millbrae, CA), 53-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Summit Shasta upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Black Bears host Pacific Bay Christian (Pacifica, CA) to play the Eagles in a bout on Thursday, January 25. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Vikings play the Capuchino Mustangs (San Bruno, CA) in a bout, on Thursday, January 25. Mills will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 54-24 league win over San Mateo (San Mateo, CA).
