Waverly Warriors (Lansing, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Okemos Wolves (Okemos, MI), 50-44 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Waverly improves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to DeWitt (DeWitt, MI) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Wolves confront the East Lansing Trojans (East Lansing, MI) in a challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Okemos will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record.
