Connecticut High School Basketball - Watertown can't hold off Ansonia

The Ansonia Chargers basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Watertown Indians to 55 in the Chargers league victory on Monday.

The Chargers now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holy Cross for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 24. Ansonia will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 72-19 non-league win over Derby (Derby, CT). The Crusaders record now stands at 13-0.

The Indians (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Naugatuck (Naugatuck, CT). The Greyhounds come into the non-league contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, Naugatuck was nudged by Oxford (Oxford, CT), 54-23, in a non-league contest.
