Santiam Wolverines (Mill City, OR) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Colton Vikings (Colton, OR), 34-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Santiam upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Blanchet Catholic (Salem, OR) to play the Cavaliers in a 2A Tri-River bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Blanchet Catholic lost 50-21 in their recent league bout against Western Christian (Salem, OR)

Next up, the Vikings play the Kennedy Trojans (Mt. Angel, OR) in a 2A Tri-River bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Colton will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 49-32 league win over Gervais (Gervais, OR).
