Derry Trojans (Derry, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Valley Vikings (New Kensington, PA), 48-2 in a league bout.

With the win, Derry upgrades its record to 4-10 on the season. The Trojans host Knoch (Saxonburg, PA) to play the Knights in a WPIAL 4A 1 bout on Monday, January 29. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Knoch won 52-27 in their recent league bout against Freeport (Freeport, PA)

Next up, the Vikings play the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions (Greensburg, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 1 bout, on Thursday, January 25. Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Golden Lions go into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 52-29 non-league loss to Laurel Highlands (Uniontown, PA).
