Elizabeth Bulldogs (Cudahy, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Maywood Academy Nighthawks (Maywood, CA), 28-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Elizabeth upgrades its record to 2-7 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Sotomayor (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Wolves in a Southern bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Sotomayor lost 49-17 in their recent league bout against Maywood CES (Maywood, CA)

Next up, the Nighthawks play the Torres Toros (Los Angeles, CA) in a Southern bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Maywood Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Toros go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 49-27 league loss to Marquez (Huntington Park, CA).
