The Elton Indians basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Teurlings Catholic Rebels to 42 in the Indians non-league triumph on Monday.

The Indians now sport a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Merryville for a 1A District 5 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Elton will meet a Panthers team coming off a 68-34 non-league loss to Church Point (Church Point, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 16-9.

The Rebels (17-9) will now prepare for their contest against Westgate (New Iberia, LA). The Tigers enter the 4A District 4 contest with a 15-9 record. In their last contest, Westgate was nudged by Lafayette Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA), 68-43, in a league contest.
