Moorhead Spuds (Moorhead, MN) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Fergus Falls Otters (Fergus Falls, MN), 59-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Moorhead upgrades its record to 4-12 on the campaign. The Spuds host St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 15-17. St. Cloud Cathedral lost 71-47 in their recent non-league bout against Sartell-St. Stephen (Sartell, MN)

Next up, the Otters play the Rocori Spartans (Cold Spring, MN) in a AAA Section 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Fergus Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 3-13 record after their 62-51 non-league loss to Minnewaska Area (Glenwood, MN).
