The Villa Joseph Marie Jems basketball team (Holland, PA), dropped 50-36 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Gwynedd Mercy Academy Monarchs (Gwynedd Valley, PA)
The Monarchs now possess a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sacred Heart Academy for a Catholic Academies battle on Tuesday, January 23. Gwynedd Mercy Academy will battle a Lions team coming off a 47-39 non-league win over Upper Darby (Drexel Hill, PA). The Lions record now stands at 6-1.
The Jems (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Merion Mercy Academy (Merion Station, PA). The Golden Bears come into the Catholic Academies battle with a 3-11 record.
