The Thorsby Rebels basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the host Jemison Panthers to 32 in the Rebels non-league victory on Monday.
The Rebels now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central of Coosa County for a 2A Area 7 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Thorsby will battle a Cougars team coming off a 49-47 league win over Thorsby (Thorsby, AL). The Cougars record now stands at 6-5.
The Panthers (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Sylacauga (Sylacauga, AL). The Aggies come into the 5A Area 8 contest with a 7-11 record. In their last contest, Sylacauga was defeated by Talladega (Talladega, AL), 73-30, in a non-league contest.
