Kentucky High School Basketball - Lexington Christian can't hold off Lafayette

The Lafayette Generals basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Lexington Christian Eagles to 44 in the Generals league victory on Monday.
The Generals now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tates Creek for a District 43 contest on Friday, January 26. Lafayette will battle a Commodores team coming off a 40-38 league loss to Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY). The Commodores record now stands at 9-11.
The Eagles (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against Crittenden County (Marion, KY). The Rockets go into the non-league bout with a 11-7 record. In their last bout, Crittenden County held off Livingston Central (Smithland, KY), 72-48, in a league bout.
