Leonia Lions (Leonia, NJ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lodi Rams (Lodi, NJ), 48-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Leonia upgrades its record to 13-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Mary Help of Christians Academy (North Haledon, NJ) to clash with the Blue Jays in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Blue Jays go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Mary Help of Christians Academy won 39-17 in their recent league bout against Great Oaks (Newark, NJ)

Next up, the Rams clash with the Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology Lions (Paterson, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Lodi will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 1-16 record after their 55-10 non-league loss to Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, NJ).
