Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) and the host Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), saw Mountain Heritage's basketball squad knock off Draughn by a tally of 55-43.

With the victory, Mountain Heritage improves its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Cougars host Rosman (Rosman, NC) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 26. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 0-7. Rosman lost 59-25 in their recent league challenge against Avery County (Newland, NC)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Draughn will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record.
