The Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA) basketball crushed the host Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA), 36-12 in Monday's non-league test.
The Indians (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, Rappahannock walloped Essex (Tappahannock, VA), 36-11, in a non-league test.
The Blue Devils now own a 1-9 record. They play next when they travel to West Point for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 23. Mathews will encounter a Pointers squad coming off a 30-28 non-league loss to Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA). The Pointers record now stands at 6-6.
