The Dragons (19-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hemphill (Hemphill, TX). The Hornets come into the 2A Region III District 24 contest with a 11-11 record. In their last contest, Hemphill defeated Corrigan-Camden (Corrigan, TX), 70-38, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Owls battle the San Augustine Wolves (San Augustine, TX) in a 2A Region III District 24 contest, on Friday, January 24. Chireno will attempt to better on its 16-8 season record. The Wolves come into the contest with a 14-5 record after their 57-37 league win over West Sabine (Pineland, TX).
