North Carolina High School Basketball - Kings Mountain nips Crest

January 22, 2025: Shelby, NC 28152

The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) and the host Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC), observed Kings Mountain's basketball team edge Crest by a margin of 60-57.

The Mountaineers (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against South Point (Belmont, NC). The Red Raiders come into the 3A Big South challenge with a 10-7 record. In their last challenge, South Point edged North Gaston (Dallas, NC), 70-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Chargers battle the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) in a 3A Big South challenge, on Friday, January 24. Crest will attempt to better on its 12-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 70-48 league loss to South Point (Belmont, NC).
