In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting Shadow Creek Sharks basketball team scored a big 80-44 triumph over the Dawson Eagles.

The Sharks (24-2) will now prepare for their contest against Dobie (Houston, TX). The Longhorns go into the 6A Region III District 22 contest with a 6-22 record. In their last contest, Dobie was trounced by Pasadena Memorial (Pasadena, TX), 69-46, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Pearland Oilers (Pearland, TX) in a 6A Region III District 22 contest, on Saturday, January 25. Dawson will attempt to better on its 15-14 season record. The Oilers go into the contest with a 16-10 record after their 60-43 league win over Manvel (Manvel, TX).
