The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the San Marcos Rattlers (San Marcos, TX) and the visiting Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX), observed San Marcos's basketball team overcome Johnson by a margin of 68-58.

The Rattlers (16-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Clemens (Schertz, TX). The Buffaloes come into the 6A Region IV District 29 challenge with a 17-11 record. In their last challenge, Clemens dropped by Steele (Cibolo, TX), 59-52, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Jaguars battle the Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Johnson will attempt to better on its 8-18 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 12-17 record after their 69-62 league win over San Marcos (San Marcos, TX).
