Texas High School Basketball - Nixon victorious over Martin

In Wednesday's league contest, the host Nixon Mustangs basketball team scored a good 53-35 triumph over the Martin Tigers.

The Mustangs (22-9) will now prepare for their contest against Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX). The Patriots go into the 5A Region IV District 30 contest with a 10-14 record. In their last contest, Mission Veterans Memorial was topped by Palmview (La Joya, TX), 66-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers confront the Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 contest, on Friday, January 24. Martin will attempt to better on its 8-14 season record. The Rattlers go into the contest with a 21-10 record after their 93-41 league win over Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX).
