In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting Eastland Cougars basketball team scored a big 55-20 triumph over the Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders.

The Cougars (10-14) will now prepare for their contest against Amboy (Amboy, IL). The Clippers go into the contest with a 17-6 record. In their last contest, Amboy smashed Polo (Polo, IL), 38-35, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Raiders confront the Morrison Mustangs (Morrison, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South contest, on Friday, January 24. Ashton-Franklin Center will attempt to better on its 8-16 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 1-22 record after their 54-24 league win over Milledgeville (Milledgeville, IL).
