The Storm (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Farmington (Farmington, NM). The Scorpions come into the 5A District 1 challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, Farmington trounced Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM), 63-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM) in a 5A District 1 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Cibola will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 44-37 league loss to Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM).
