Virginia High School Basketball - Fort Chiswell bests Marion

The Fort Chiswell Pioneers basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Marion Scarlet Hurricanes to 33 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Pioneers now possess a 13-0 record. They play next when they host Grayson County for a Mountain Empire game on Friday, January 24. Fort Chiswell will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 53-28 non-league win over Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-3.
With the loss, Marion falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Scarlet hurricanes host Tazewell (Tazewell, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a Southwest game on Thursday, January 23. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 0-8.
