The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the San Marcos Rattlers (San Marcos, TX) and the host Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX), observed San Marcos's basketball team overwhelm Johnson by a margin of 69-39.

The Rattlers (21-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Clemens (Schertz, TX). The Buffaloes come into the 6A Region IV District 29 challenge with a 4-22 record. In their last challenge, Clemens was trounced by Steele (Cibolo, TX), 52-23, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Jaguars battle the Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Johnson will attempt to better on its 6-19 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 15-14 record after their 54-28 league loss to San Marcos (San Marcos, TX).
