In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons basketball team scored a close 66-59 triumph over the The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans.
The Falcons (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD). The Mustangs go into the Washington Catholic contest with a 14-1 record. In their last contest, Bishop McNamara nipped Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC), 102-10, in a non-league battle.
The Tartans now own a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elizabeth Seton for a Washington Catholic battle on Friday, January 24. The Academy of the Holy Cross will meet a squad coming off a 62-60 non-league win over Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA). The record now stands at 13-3.
