The La Cueva Bears basketball team scored 47 points and limited the host Sandia Matadors to 45 in the Bears non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Bears now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Eldorado for a non-league game on Friday, January 24. La Cueva will confront a Golden Eagles team coming off a 38-13 non-league win over Manzano (Albuquerque, NM). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 7-6.
With the loss, Sandia falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Capital (Santa Fe, NM) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league game on Friday, January 24. The Jaguars go into the game with a record of 4-7. Capital lost 35-19 in their recent league game against Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM)
