The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Cheboygan Chiefs (Cheboygan, MI) and the host Gaylord Blue Devils (Gaylord, MI), witnessed Cheboygan's ice hockey team defeat Gaylord by a score of 6-0.

The Chiefs (1-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Manistee (Manistee, MI). The Chippewas come into the Independent challenge with a 11-7 record. In their last challenge, Manistee got by Huron (New Boston, MI), 13-4, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the Traverse City Central Trojans (Traverse City, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 29. Gaylord will attempt to better on its 1-16 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 3-2 league loss to Traverse City West (Traverse City, MI).
