Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Liberty Ranch Hawks (Galt, CA) and the visiting Union Mine Diamondbacks (El Dorado, CA), saw Liberty Ranch's soccer squad triumph over Union Mine by a score of 8-0.

The Hawks (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against Amador (Sutter Creek, CA). The Buffaloes enter the Sierra Valley Conference battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, Amador was overwhelmed by Bradshaw Christian (Sacramento, CA), 7-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Diamondbacks confront the Argonaut Mustangs (Jackson, CA) in a Sierra Valley Conference battle, on Friday, January 24. Union Mine will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 1-14 record after their 3-0 league loss to El Dorado (Placerville, CA).
