Levelland Lobos (Levelland, TX) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), 52-17 in a league bout.

With the victory, Levelland upgrades its record to 13-12 on the campaign. The Lobos travel to Snyder (Snyder, TX) to play the Tigers in a 4A Region I District 5 bout on Friday, January 27. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 8-16. Snyder won 44-36 in their recent league bout against Lake View (San Angelo, TX)

Next up, the Steers play the Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) in a 4A Region I District 5 bout, on Friday, January 27. Big Spring will attempt to upgrade on its 6-15 season record. The Matadors come into the bout with a 16-15 record after their 56-54 league win over Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX).
