The Bluefield Beavers ran past the visiting Oak Hill Red Devils basketball team by a final score of 54-44 in Monday's league game.
In their next game, the Beavers face the Wyoming East Warriors (New Richmond, WV) in a Coalfield AA game, on Friday, February 3. Bluefield will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record.
With the defeat, Oak Hill moves to 8-4 on the year. The Red devils travel to Liberty (Clarksburg, WV) to face the Mountaineers in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 25. The Mountaineers enter the game with a record of 5-8.
