Calvary Christian Lions (Old Bridge, NJ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting East Brunswick Bears (East Brunswick, NJ), 57-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calvary Christian upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Dunellen (Dunellen, NJ) to play the Destroyers in a Greater Middlesex - Gold bout on Friday, January 27. The Destroyers go into the bout with a record of 3-12. Dunellen lost 40-37 in their recent league bout against South Amboy (South Amboy, NJ)

Next up, the Bears play the Highland Park Owls (Highland Park, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. East Brunswick will attempt to upgrade on its 9-17 season record.
