Virginia High School Basketball - Carlisle edges North Cross

The Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA) basketball nipped the visiting North Cross Raiders (Roanoke, VA), 68-63 in Monday's non-league test.
The Chiefs (8-8) will now prepare for their test against Covenant (Charlottesville, VA). The Eagles go into the Virginia Independent test with a 1-13 record. In their last test, Covenant was tipped by Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA), 68-6, in a league test.
The Raiders now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Virginia Episcopal School for a Virginia Independent test on Tuesday, January 24. North Cross will encounter a Bishops squad coming off a 39-36 league win over Life Christian Academy (Chester, VA). The Bishops record now stands at 5-15.
