The East Union Eagles basketball team (Afton, IA), was overwhelmed 82-44 in Monday's league battle with the host Central Decatur Cardinals (Leon, IA)

The Cardinals now possess a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southeast Warren for a Pride of Iowa battle on Tuesday, January 24. Central Decatur will confront a Warhawks team coming off a 68-67 league loss to Lenox (Lenox, IA). The Warhawks record now stands at 8-7.

The Eagles (2-9) will now prepare for their battle against Wayne (Corydon, IA). The Falcons come into the Pride of Iowa battle with a 6-11 record. In their last battle, Wayne was overwhelmed by Bedford (Bedford, IA), 60-42, in a league battle.
