The Mustangs now sport a 13-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lamesa for a 3A Region I District 3 battle on Friday, January 27. Denver City will battle a Tornadoes team coming off a 61-26 league win over Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX). The Tornadoes record now stands at 23-2.

The Chieftans (4-21) will now prepare for their battle against Brownfield (Brownfield, TX). The Cubs come into the 3A Region I District 3 battle with a 10-12 record. In their last battle, Brownfield was routed by Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX), 53-43, in a league battle.
