Dodson Panthers (Dodson, LA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Downsville Demons (Downsville, LA), 52-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dodson upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Central (Jonesville, LA) to play the Panthers in a C District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 0-6.

Next up, the Demons play the Forest Bulldogs (Forest, LA) in a B District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Downsville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-20 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 79-61 non-league win over Family Community Christian (Winnsboro, LA).
