The Sweetwater Wildcats basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Maryville Christian Eagles to 39 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Monday.

The Wildcats now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Meigs County for a 2A District 3 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Sweetwater will meet a Tigers team coming off a 64-51 league win over Tellico Plains (Tellico Plains, TN). The Tigers record now stands at 10-11.

The Eagles (12-11) will now prepare for their contest against Concord Christian (Knoxville, TN). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, Concord Christian was outscored by Grace Christian Academy (Knoxville, TN), 56-48, in a league contest.
