The Newberry Panthers basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Williston Red Devils to 48 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Monday.
The Panthers now sport a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trenton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Newberry will meet a Tigers team coming off a 37-32 non-league win over Union County (Lake Butler, FL). The Tigers record now stands at 12-8.
The Red Devils (15-6) will now prepare for their contest against Gainesville (Gainesville, FL). The Hurricanes enter the non-league contest with a 16-5 record. In their last contest, Gainesville nudged Riverside (Jacksonville, FL), 60-39, in a non-league contest.
