Virginia High School Basketball - York can't hold off Smithfield

The Smithfield Packers basketball team scored 59 points and held the host York Falcons to 53 in the Packers league triumph on Monday.
The Packers now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lafayette for a Bay Rivers contest on Wednesday, January 25. Smithfield will battle a Rams team coming off a 57-52 league win over New Kent (New Kent, VA). The Rams record now stands at 15-3.
The Falcons (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Warhill (Williamsburg, VA). The Lions enter the Bay Rivers contest with a 4-14 record. In their last contest, Warhill nudged Poquoson (Poquoson, VA), 48-36, in a league contest.
