In Monday's non-league outing, the Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA) basketball squad felled the visiting Lawton-Bronson Eagles (Lawton, IA), by a margin of 45-29.
The Westerners (6-7) will now prepare for their outing against Hinton (Hinton, IA). The Blackhawks go into the War Eagle outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Hinton thwarted Harris-Lake Park (Lake Park, IA), 65-35, in a league outing.
