Salt Lake Academy Griffins (Herriman, UT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host American Leadership Academy Eagles (Spanish Fork, UT), 48-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Salt Lake Academy upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Griffins host Tooele (Tooele, UT) to play the Buffaloes in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Tooele lost 72-36 in their recent league bout against Payson (Payson, UT)

Next up, the Eagles play the Providence Hall Patriots (Herriman, UT) in a 3A Region 15 bout, on Thursday, January 26. American Leadership Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 52-35 league loss to Juan Diego Catholic (Draper, UT).
