The Maplewood Baptist Academy Black Bears basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter to 19 in the Black Bears non-league triumph on Monday.
The Black Bears now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newberry for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Maplewood Baptist Academy will battle a Indians team coming off a 40-15 league loss to Engadine (Engadine, MI). The Indians record now stands at 0-10.
The (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Big Bay de Noc (Cooks, MI). The Black Bears enter the Northern Lights contest with a 6-4 record.
