The Brantley Bulldogs (Brantley, AL) basketball crushed the host Houston County Lions (Columbia, AL), 52-24 in Monday's league test.
The Bulldogs (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Elba (Elba, AL). The Tigers go into the 1A Area 2 test with a 16-5 record. In their last test, Elba walloped Pike Liberal Arts (Troy, AL), 76-18, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Kinston for a 1A Area 2 test on Friday, January 27. Houston County will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 42-35 non-league loss to Opp (Opp, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-10.
