The Community Christian Cyclones basketball team (Wilson, NC), was overwhelmed 49-21 in Monday's non-league battle with the host New Bern Christian Academy (New Bern, NC)

The now possess a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Christ Covenant for a non-league battle on Friday, January 27. New Bern Christian Academy will battle a Spartan team coming off a 58-32 non-league win over Jacksonville Christian Academy (Jacksonville, NC). The Spartan record now stands at 12-4.

The Cyclones (1-10) will now prepare for their battle against Faith Christian (Rocky Mount, NC). The Patriots come into the NCISAA Carolina Independent battle with a 6-9 record. In their last battle, Faith Christian was overwhelmed by Crossroads Christian (Henderson, NC), 65-36, in a non-league battle.
