The Valley Vikings basketball team (New Kensington, PA), was overwhelmed 69-36 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Derry Trojans (Derry, PA)
The Trojans now possess a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Knoch for a WPIAL 4A 1 battle on Monday, January 30.
The Vikings (2-13) will now prepare for their battle against Greensburg Salem (Greensburg, PA). The Golden Lions come into the WPIAL 4A 1 battle with a 12-4 record. In their last battle, Greensburg Salem trounced Laurel Highlands (Uniontown, PA), 45-44, in a non-league battle.
