Fans at Monday's league challenge between the McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA) and the host Fairview Tigers (Fairview, PA), saw McDowell's basketball squad overcome Fairview by a tally of 41-26.

With the victory, McDowell improves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Trojans host Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA) to confront the Ramblers in a District 10 Region 7 challenge on Monday, February 6. The Ramblers come into the challenge with a record of 11-1.

Next up, the Tigers confront the Harbor Creek Huskies (Harborcreek, PA) in a District 10 Region 7 challenge, on Thursday, January 26. Fairview will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 56-24 league win over Fort LeBoeuf (Waterford, PA).
