Geneva Eagles (Geneva, OH) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lakeside Dragons (Ashtabula, OH), 71-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Geneva upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Perry (Perry, OH) to play the Pirates in a Chagrin Valley - Lake bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 13-4. Perry won 59-52 in their recent league bout against Edgewood (Ashtabula, OH)

Next up, the Dragons play the Cornerstone Christian Patriots (Willoughby, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Lakeside will attempt to upgrade on its 0-17 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 52-49 non-league loss to Beaumont School (Cleveland Heights, OH).
