With the victory, Newport upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Cubs travel to Sweet Home (Sweet Home, OR) to play the Huskies in a 4A Oregon West challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 4-9. Sweet Home lost 70-20 in their recent league challenge against Cascade (Turner, OR)

Next up, the Cheesemakers play the Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR) in a 4A Cowapa challenge, on Friday, January 27. Tillamook will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Fishermen come into the challenge with a 14-2 record after their 50-42 league win over Scappoose (Scappoose, OR).
