Ceres Bulldogs (Ceres, CA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lathrop Spartans (Lathrop, CA), 26-23 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ceres upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Johansen (Modesto, CA) to play the Vikings in a bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 5-6.

Next up, the Spartans play the Pacheco Panthers (Los Banos, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Lathrop will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record.
