Fans at Monday's league challenge between the South Carroll Cavaliers (Sykesville, MD) and the host Manchester Valley Mavericks (Manchester, MD), saw South Carroll's basketball squad knock off Manchester Valley by a count of 41-27.

With the victory, South Carroll upgrades its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Smithsburg (Smithsburg, MD) to play the Leopards in a challenge on Friday, January 27. The Leopards come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Smithsburg lost 44-25 in their recent league challenge against South Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD)

Next up, the Mavericks play the Century Knights (Sykesville, MD) in a challenge, on Wednesday, February 1. Manchester Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
