The Corcoran Panthers (Corcoran, CA) basketball nipped the host Strathmore Spartans (Strathmore, CA), 24-22 in Monday's league test.

The Panthers (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Lindsay (Lindsay, CA). The Cardinals go into the test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Lindsay got by Granite Hills (Porterville, CA), 28-27, in a league test.

The Spartans now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Woodlake for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Strathmore will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 29-19 league win over Wonderful College Prep Academy (Delano, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 8-4.
