Greensville County Eagles (Emporia, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA), 44-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Greensville County upgrades its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 7-2. Brunswick won 36-10 in their recent non-league bout against Southampton (Courtland, VA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Nottoway will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 0-10 record after their 38-21 non-league loss to Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA).
